Marco Gumabao finally opens up on his recent issue of being romantically linked with Barbie Imperial.
In an interview with the actor on April 27, he said that the issue was a hoax as he and Barbie are distant cousins.
“It’s so stupid. Pinakatangang issue na nakita ko. Kung gagawa ka ng isang issue, sana mag fact-check ka muna. Imperial nga siya eh, alam ng mga tao na Imperial din ako.
“‘Wag na nating banggitin ang pangalan, baka mamaya sumikat pa siya lalo,” said the actor.
Accordingly, Marco is referring to social media personality Xian Gaza who recently trended for spreading the issue about Marco and Barbie.
In a now-deleted Facebook post, Xian shared a photo of Marco and Barbie in a hotel in Cebu.
“Ano kaya ang ginawa nila sa hotel nakakaloka ha,” Xian wrote.
In the Showbiz Update vlog of comedian-manager Ogie Diaz, he mentioned that Marco and Barbie were together in Cebu for a gathering with close friends.
He then explained that Marco’s full name is Marco Imperial Gumabao which shows that he and Barbie are blood-related.
Marco Gumabao is also linked to Ivana Alawi after the two were spotted getting comfortable at a small gathering with friends.
