Ysabel Ortega considered Voltes V: Legacy as a turning point in Philippine television.
On January 5, via an interview, Ortega revealed what to expect in the series.
“The whole project siguro, I would say, grabe kasi. Ang gusto ko lang ding matandaan ng mga viewer natin is it’s been 100 percent Filipino-made so talagang it’s something to be proud of.
“It’s a milestone sa Philippine television, and it’s also a milestone when it comes to special effects, CGI, so it’s definitely something that they should be proud of and we will be proud of.”
Ortega shared her memorable experiences during the lock-in taping.
“Kasi grabe rin talaga ‘yung bonding namin ng cast sa lock-in. Quarantine pa lang talagang they’re all there for each other na. ‘Di ba syempre mag-isa lang kami sa kwarto namin na nagka-quarantine so ang ginagawa namin para maging safe nagbi-video call kaming lahat.
“Nasa isang group call kami tapos sinasamahan namin ‘yung isa’t isa, sabay-sabay kaming lahat na nagbabasa ng script. ‘Tapos, ‘yun even nung taping talagang bonding kami kasi we are all in the same place, hindi kami makakauwi so syempre kapag homesick kami naroon kami para sa isa’t isa,” she said.
Ortega will portray the character of Jamie Robinson in GMA’s Voltes V: Legacy.
