On December 21, Brilliant Skin CEO Glenda Victorio (Miss Glenda) looked back at 2023 and recounted the struggles they faced for the year.
During the Brilliant Awards 2023 at the New Port Performing Arts in Resorts World Manila, which LionhearTV attended, Miss Glenda narrated how she and their beauty and wellness brand overcame the challenges they faced for the year.
“Marami pong nangyari sa taong ito para sa ating lahat. Sinubok ang tatag, hindi lang po ako. Kung hindi ang tatag ng buong Brilliant family kasama na po kayong lahat doon. Nag-simula po ang 2023 na puno po ng tanong, pangamba, lungkot, at pagkabahala.
“January 3, 2023, to be exact, alam ko maraming nakaka-relate po sa akin na online sellers not to mention the details, pero doon ko po na-realize na sa isang iglap, maari pa talagang mawala ang lahat.”
She then cited what she learned from her experience as the leader of Brilliant Skin.
“And I learned to be more humble and grateful–mas pinahahalagahan ko na po talaga ‘yung mga bagay na mas magaganda.
“Sa totoo lang po, mabait na po si Miss Glenda ngayon, ‘yung tipong saktan ng paulit-ulit, hindi po ako nakakaisip na gumanti at gumawa ng masama. Hindi po ako nagbubuhat ng bangko, gusto ko lang po ishare ang lahat ng naging downfall ko at paano ko po ito hinarap at kung gaano po ka-pure ang puso ko para sa inyong lahat.”
She then thanked her family for supporting her throughout the ordeal.
“To Mac, I will still be forever thankful sa lahat ng mga ginawa mo para sa akin. Sa pag-aalaga at pagmamahal sa mga anak namin, maraming-maraming sa lahat ng contribution na binigay mo para kay Brilliant Skin. Kasi naniniwala po ako na hindi po ako nakatayo sa harapan ninyo kung di dahil kay Mac.”
She also listed Brilliant Skin’s achievements for 2023, including the brand’s international expansion to Dubai, Malaysia, and Singapore and the brand’s ambassador, Alden Richards.
“Nag-simula po ang 2023 sa pinaka makinang, sa The Brilliant Concert 2023, pinadagundong, pinataya, talagang pinatunayan natin na iba talaga ang Brilliant Skin. Bukod pa diyan, ni-launch natin ang Brilliant Skin sa TiktokShop Malaysia.
“Bukod doon ay ang Miss Glenda ninyo ay naging first Filipina Ambassadress of Tiktok Shop Philippines. At ngayong taon din ay si Alden Richards ay ni-launch natin as the new face of Brillian Skin, dream come true po ‘yun sa akin kasi bilang fan na fan ng AlDub, at siyempre ni Alden, ‘yung dati lang po na pinapanood ko sa TV, hindi ko in-expect na magiging part po siya ng Brillian Skin.
“At Brilliant Skin, nag-expand na kami sa Dubai, Malaysia, at soon magkakaroon na rin tayo ng office natin sa Singapore.”
Brilliant Awards 2023 showcased the Awarding of Franchisees and Distributors for those with outstanding commitment to the brand and their community.
Celebrities Luis Manzano and Mariel Padilla hosted Brilliant Awards 2023 with musical performances and special appearances from KZ Tandingan, Juan Karlos, Jason Dy, Kackie Gonzales, Andrea Brillantes, Kyle Echarri, Paulo Avelino, and Alden Richards.
Aside from the festivities, Miss Glenda named their newest Chief Operating Officer (COO) Shed Garcia.
