The noontime supremacy in the Philippines continues to be a tight competition between ABS-CBN’s ‘It’s Showtime’ and TV5’s ‘EAT…Bulaga.’
As per the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey ratings, ‘It’s Showtime’ and ‘EAT…Bulaga’ engaged in a seesaw battle for leadership throughout the week.
Commencing on Monday, February 19, ‘EAT…Bulaga’ commenced the week at the summit with a 4.3 percent rating, securing the 13th position on the overall ratings chart. ‘It’s Showtime’ closely followed in 14th place with a 3.5 percent rating. Meanwhile, ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ remained in a distant third with a 2.7 percent rating.
On Tuesday, February 20, ‘It’s Showtime’ surged ahead of ‘EAT…Bulaga’ to claim the noontime lead with a 4.4 percent rating, while ‘EAT…Bulaga’ registered 4.1 percent. ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ maintained its third position with a 2.8 percent rating.
Wednesday, February 21, saw ‘EAT…Bulaga’ reclaim its throne with a 4.1 percent rating. ‘It’s Showtime’ followed with a 3.8 percent rating, and Tahanang Pinakamasaya posted a 3.0 percent rating.
Maintaining its momentum, the TVJ-led noontime show secured another victory on Thursday, February 22, with a 4.2 percent rating, surpassing ‘It’s Showtime’s 4.0 percent. ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ recorded a 2.9 percent rating.
