Kate Valdez couldn’t contain her emotions during the press conference for the highly anticipated GMA Afternoon Prime series, ‘Shining Inheritance.’
The actress, who stars as Inna in the show, expressed her overwhelming gratitude for working with her co-stars, especially Kyline Alcantara, who plays her on-screen rival, Joanna.
“Happy ako na siya talaga. Na Pahirapan niya ako. I’m really grateful na si Kyline ang Joanna sa Inna ko. Kasi hindi ko naman talaga siya mabubuo, si Inna, kung hindi binigyang buhay ni Kyline si Joanna,” Kate said, beaming with pride. “I’m really grateful na naka-work ko si Kyline. Pero, ang kulit ni Kyline. Akala niyo ba, mukha lang siyang mataray. Pero, sobrang kulit niya! I’m happy to be able to work with you Kyline.”
As the press conference progressed, Kate became visibly emotional, tearing up as she reflected on her experience working on the series. “Sobrang saya ko lang po! Ang babait ng mga kasamahan ko sa show na ito. I feel grateful and blessed talaga, na nabigyan ako ng opportunity na i-portray si Inna. Nagpapasalamat ako sa kulay na binigay niyo, sa mga contribution niyo, para mas mag-shine tayong lahat. Thank you talaga sa lahat. Salamat sa mga kasamahan ko na nagtataray sa akin sa show,” she shared through tears.
Kate also revealed that she is currently in a happy relationship with Japanese vlogger and former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Fumiya Sankai. With a bright smile, she confirmed the news, saying, “Opo! In love. Oh yes, of course!”
Adding to the excitement, Kate shared that Fumiya has already met veteran actress Coney Reyes, who stars alongside them in Shining Inheritance, as well as Kyline’s boyfriend, Kobe Paras.
‘Shining Inheritance’ is set to premiere on September 9, promising to captivate viewers with its compelling storyline and star-studded cast.
