“The Flash” actor Keiynan Lonsdale confirms he’s bisexual

It looks like actor Keiynan Lonsdale, the guy who plays “The Flash” on CW Network series came out of the closet recently on his Instagram post.

The guy who’s playing the character of Kid Flash or Wally West in the superhero series proudly and loudly declared his sexuality and showed a message of self-love by officially coming out that he’s bisexual.

Prior to his coming out statement, Lonsdale is a well-known LGBT advocate.

“I like girls and I like guys,” he declared.

He says he no longer wants to apologize for “falling in love with people no matter their gender.”

Unlike other actors who were advised to downplay their statement, the 25-year-old movie and TV star now bravely wants to embrace who he is. He says he was insecure, ashamed and scared for long years. He even confessed to “hating” himself thinking that he was less valuable because he was different.
“I’ve become bored of being insecure, ashamed, scared. No one should feel like that about themselves, especially when there is so much good life to live,” he wrote.

He said he found inspiration in “young people being their best and truest selves,” and wished that “we can all learn to embrace who we are and not judge people who aren’t exactly the same as us.”

Lonsdale wrote on his Instagram post [in verbatim]:

“I like to change my hair, I like to take risks with how I dress, I like girls, and I like guys (yes), I like growing, I like learning, I like who Iam and I really like who I’m becoming. Spent way too many years hating myself, thinking I was less valuable because I was different, which is just untrue. A couple years ago I was able to accept myself and saved my life, but now I’ve gotten to a new road block and I feel kind of lost. I gotta take the next step and actually embrace who I am, which is pretty exciting. Not taking sh*t anymore, not apologising for falling in love with people no matter their gender. I’ve become bored of being insecure, ashamed, scared…no one should feel like that about themselves, especially when there is so much good life to live. Yeah, I know more and I see so many young people being their best/truest selves, it’s f*cking inspiring…so what have I been waiting for? Who knows, everyone in their own time. I hope we can all learn to embrace who we are and not judge people who aren’t exactly the same as us. The truth is we are all family, we’re all one. Just love, Keiy.

Lonsdale has received a lot of flak from “bashers” but fans have vigorously responded with positivity, love and support, some even defended him from homophobic bashers because of his post.

The “Flash” actor hoped he could become an inspiration for young LGBT people to embrace their identities.
