‘I don’t regret loving you.’ Kris Aquino softens stance on Dr. Mike Padlan

After making strong statements about her breakup with Dr. Mike Padlan, Kris Aquino has made significant edits to her Instagram post, softening her stance and acknowledging their past love.

In her original post on March 16, 2025, Kris revealed that their relationship had ended, claiming that Dr. Mike left her because he wanted to travel freely and escape the responsibilities of caring for someone with multiple autoimmune diseases. She also stated that he never truly loved her.

“The doctor I loved left me because he wanted the freedom to travel, to break free from needing to care for & the reality of KRIS AQUINO who had multiplying autoimmune diseases with so few treatment options. Enough time has passed: he did not love me.”

She further claimed that Dr. Mike continued charging her professional fees despite their romantic relationship.

Shortly after Kris’ post, Dr. Mike’s son, Miguel Lorenzo Padlan, spoke up to defend his father, denouncing the allegations against him.

“I am the son of Dr. Padlan, and I am speaking up because I love my father. I cannot remain silent while false stories are being spread about him.”

Miguel confirmed the separation but insisted that their relationship was real and full of love.

“The truth is simple: yes, my father and Mama Kris separated because the spark between them was gone. However, that does not mean my father never loved her. He truly did.”

He also expressed his family’s pain, saying that Dr. Mike sacrificed a lot to be with Kris, even when it negatively affected his own finances and well-being.

“He gave so much of his time and energy to her, even at the cost of his own well-being. There were times when he had little to no money left and was losing patients at his clinic, yet he still chose to be with her.”

Miguel emphasized that Dr. Mike never asked Kris for financial help, stating that whatever she gave was out of her own generosity.

Despite their difficulties, he still expressed deep respect for Kris, asking that she not spread misleading narratives.

“We love you, Mama Kris, and we love our father as well. Family is family. That is why I am here—to support my father and stand by my family.”

Following Miguel’s statement, Kris edited her original Instagram post, removing some of her previous remarks and taking a more reflective and respectful tone.

Among the notable changes, she acknowledged that during their time together: “I DID FEEL SAFE.”

She also retracted her earlier regrets, instead choosing to honor the love she had for Dr. Mike.

“I don’t regret loving you completely. Sanay akong mabigo.”

Kris clarified that she modified her post out of respect for both Dr. Mike and the people they both love.
