Emerging as one of the most exciting new voices in R&B and pop, Indonesian-born, Singapore-based multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer, Rangga Jones, serves up a smooth and soulful sound in his emotive new single, “Move On”, out today. The track is a soulful blend of a gently strummed guitar, infectious drums, and melodies that linger long after the song ends.

“Move On” offers an intimate window into Rangga’s personal evolution, as he reflects on the journey of moving past the heartbreak of a past relationship. The idea for the track came to him during a solo trip to Tokyo.

“I remembered browsing through sounds in my hotel room and found the guitar melody, and I instantly knew I wanted to write about accepting and finally moving on from my 7-year past relationship.” Rangga shares. “The song honestly wrote itself,” he continues. “I didn’t have to think of the lyrics at all and I let my emotions and thoughts do their thing. When I finished the song, I felt some sort of “relief” because I finally got all the words and feelings out from the heartbreak I went through.”

This release also offers a glimpse into Rangga’s highly anticipated sophomore album, ‘Everything I’ve Wanted To Say’, set for release this May. The single serves as a perfect introduction to the forthcoming record, highlighting Rangga’s artistic growth and his ability to craft deeply introspective yet universally accessible music.

A seasoned artist with an ear for both groove and sentiment, Rangga Jones has garnered significant recognition in Singapore’s thriving music scene. Since his debut through Singapore’s Noise Music Mentorship Programme in 2020, Rangga has solidified his position as a rising star in the R&B and pop genres. His self-produced debut EP, ‘A Little Bit Patient’, has surpassed 43 million streams, while his follow-up single “Call Me” has accumulated over 30 million streams worldwide. In 2024, the viral success of his hit single “Infatuated” made a particularly significant impact in Thailand, amassing over 92,000 TikTok creator content and generating over 11 million views on YouTube.

With an impressive 144.8 million all-time streams, Rangga’s music has resonated globally, with a particularly strong presence in Southeast Asia. His top listener markets include: #1 Thailand, #3 Taiwan, #4 Philippines, #5 Indonesia, #6 Malaysia, #7 Singapore, #10 Vietnam, solidifying his position as one of the region’s most exciting and influential rising artists.

Ranked among the Top 5 Artists on Spotify’s Rising 65 in 2024, Rangga continues to expand his reach across international territories. He is also slated to join Norwegian singer-songwriter Peder Elias as the opening act for his 2025 Asia Tour, with performances in Singapore and Bangkok.
