Christmas in the Philippines has always been a celebration of love, family, and food—whether it’s a humble gathering in the province over trays of bibingka and puto bumbong, or sharing baked goods and laughter in a cozy city condo.

Recognizing that the kitchen and dining table are the heart of every Filipino home during the holidays, IKEA Philippines brought these spaces to life through the Flavors of Home Festival, held at the IKEA store in Pasay City.
The event gathered foodies, home enthusiasts, and content creators to share inspiring ideas for holiday decor and dishes that make every meal a meaningful moment. Guests enjoyed live cooking demos from social media personalities Icoy Rapadas, Grace Tanfelix, and Mitch Ngo (@thechinitafoodie), who prepared festive Filipino favorites that families can recreate for their noche buena.
Interior designer Elle Uy also walked guests through stunning kitchen and dining setups, highlighting how IKEA’s Christmas collection can elevate home celebrations—combining functionality, style, and sustainability.
As a special treat, singer-actress Angeline Quinto serenaded attendees with Sharon Cuneta’s classic ‘Bituing Walang Ningning’, tying into IKEA’s sustainability reminder to avoid food waste by taking home leftovers—playfully referred to as “balutin” or “i-Sharon.”
“The Filipino way of celebrating the season is centered on family and food at home. IKEA wants to make it more special with our affordable kitchen and dining range,” said Hervy Nicolas, Sales Leader of IKEA Philippines. “That’s what drives us at IKEA: the joy we get from seeing people from all walks of life enjoying our pieces that are functional, beautiful, sustainable, and affordable.”
With more than 400 items now offered at reduced prices—including dinnerware, glassware, and food containers—IKEA continues to make holiday entertaining accessible for every Filipino household. (with reports from Lau Balocos)
