Young actors Andres Muhlach and Rabin Angeles clarified that there is no rivalry between them despite ongoing fan wars, emphasizing that their relationship remains solid on and off camera.

At the grand mediacon for Season 2 of ‘Ang Mutya ng Section E: The Dark Side’, Angeles said Muhlach is “like an older brother,” noting that they had already discussed how to handle negative comments online.
“Ni-remind po uli ako ni Andres na game na uli tayo… okay po kami,” Rabin said, adding that they agreed to avoid reading comments to prevent being affected by fan conflicts.
Muhlach echoed the sentiment. “At the end of the day, we’re all friends, really. I don’t see that there’s a rivalry,” he said. He added that their bond formed during Season 1 remains strong, and that their fanbases are generally supportive.
Both actors credit the series for the growth of their careers. Muhlach starred in his first lead film ‘Minamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Luna’ and is set to appear in ‘Bagets: The Musical’ in January 2026. Angeles, meanwhile, leads the upcoming film ‘A Werewolf Boy’ with Angela Muji and has secured several endorsements.
Angeles also shared his early struggles entering showbiz, recalling long commutes from Pampanga to Metro Manila for auditions, often skipping meals to save money. “Hindi ako napapagod kasi masaya ako kapag nakakaarte ako,” he said.
‘Ang Mutya ng Section E: The Dark Side’ premieres December 4, 2025 on Viva One. The cast includes Ashtine Olviga, Angela Muji, Andre Yllana, Heart Ryan, Sara Joe, Axel Torres, Ethan David, Sam Shoaf, Yayo Aguila, Joko Diaz, Nathalie Hart, and Nanette Inventor, under the direction of Petersen Vargas.
