Kapamilya actor Zaijian Jaranilla chose to keep things private when asked about rumors linking him romantically to actress and TV host Gela Atayde.

The actor was asked about their relationship during the press conference for the upcoming series ‘The Silent Noise’, which was held after the show’s premiere event.
When a member of the press asked about a recent post showing him with Atayde and whether it was a “soft launch” of their relationship, Jaranilla simply smiled and replied: “Secret! Ha-hahaha!”
In a later one-on-one interview, Jaranilla politely asked the media to respect his decision to keep his personal life private.
“Hindi po sana, akin na lang po ‘yun,” he said.
It was the first time the actor has openly requested that his private life not be discussed publicly.
Jaranilla also spoke about his experience working with young actor KD Omalin, who plays a central role in ‘The Silent Noise’.
Comparing their experiences as child actors, Jaranilla said their journeys are quite different.
“Medyo pilyo siya, parang ako nu’ng bata makulit. Pero hindi ko po maiko-compare kasi magkaiba kami ng experience,” he explained.
Jaranilla began his career at just six years old, while Omalin started acting at around 10 years old, giving the younger actor more time to experience childhood outside of work.
He also praised Omalin’s parents for supporting their child on set.
“Pinaka-importante na may magulang ka na suportado ka sa lahat ng gusto mong gawin lalo na sa ganitong craft,” he said.
In ‘The Silent Noise’, Jaranilla said he is portraying a more complex character than he has done before. One of the biggest changes for him is playing an older sibling.
“Medyo hindi ako sanay sa role ko kasi first time kong gumanap na kuya,” he shared.
The actor added that he has never turned down a project because he trusts the guidance of Star Magic, which manages his career.
Jaranilla said one of his personal goals is to save enough money to build a house for his family.
Produced by ABS-CBN Studios, ‘The Silent Noise’ features an ensemble cast led by Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo, alongside Joem Bascon, Mutya Orquia, Karina Bautista, Tommy Alejandrino, and KD Omalin.
The series held a star-studded premiere night at Gateway Cinema 11, attended by several cast members and special guests. Members of the Filipino Sign Language (FSL) community were also invited, with interpreters present during the media conference to make the event more inclusive.
‘The Silent Noise’ will begin streaming on Prime Video starting March 20.
