Lie Reposposa and her British fiancé Paul Joshua Marsden have clarified that they have not broken up, after a series of social media posts led netizens to believe their relationship had ended.
The confusion began when Marsden shared a post on April 28 that read: “Thank you for being my peace and my safe place.
You helped me stand up when I was down.
But every story has an ending, and ours ends here.
Thank you for the memories, they will stay forever.”
The post, accompanied by photos of the couple, quickly fueled speculation that the two had called it quits after years of being together.
However, just a day later, Reposposa greeted Marsden on his birthday, writing: “Happy Birthday to you. Have a special day.”
The mixed signals intensified when the couple later posted a TikTok dance video showing them together, followed by a new post from Marsden confirming their relationship status.
“April ended, we didn’t,” he captioned a photo of them.
The clarification brought relief to fans, although many netizens admitted feeling misled by the earlier post.
“Hayuffffff!!! Akala ko nag break na talaga kayu , na sad panaman ako ng a little bit pero GOODNESS GRACIOUS ITS A PRANKK hahahaha . Anyways stay strong couple,” one user commented.
Another added, “For the views lang pala …Ang daming na prank.”
Some, however, speculated that the initial post may have been intended to generate engagement online.
