This is just Floyd Mayweather being Floyd. He’s a bad guy because he’s a bad guy. Like all the great wrestling heels, what makes him effective is what Michael Hayes once said about being a great heel: “A heel has to believe that he’s right.” And I think Floyd believes that he’s right, that he’s been the underdog, that he’s been persecuted. I don’t agree with it, but I think that’s part of what drives him.
