Rhian Ramos and Aljur Abrenica team-up for the first time on the big screen on the upcoming romantic comedy movie from GMA Films, “My Kontrabida Girl.” Rhian and Aljur first teamed up in the television series “Ilumina” which gained them some following.
The story of “My Kontrabida Girl” is about showbiz and Rhian plays an actress who is typecast as the perfect kontrabida like Bella Flores, Celia Rodriguez and Gladys Reyes before her (they’re all guest stars in the movie). She is so credible as a cruel and scheming villain on screen, so she’s often asked to give support to various lead stars. But in real life, she’s a sweet girl who has yet to be lucky in love.
Other members of the cast include Jhake Vargas, Enzo Pineda, Sef Cadayona, Ken Chan, Kevin Santos, Bela Padilla, Ryza Cenon and Chariz Solomon. The movie is being helmed by Jade Castro, the director of the critically acclaimed horror comedy “Zombadings 1: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington.”
