In the episode, Anthony reviews the case of newlyweds “Paul” and “Pia.” Pia was excited to spend her wedding night with her husband and eager to get physically intimate with him for the first time. She was also open to starting a family right away. Unfortunately, Paul immediately slept on their wedding night and every night thereafter. As a result, their marriage was not consummated.
Because of this, the distraught wife filed for annulment against Paul, citing his psychological incapacity as reason. She also claimed that her husband was impotent and questioned his masculinity.
Was she able to establish Paul’s negligence as a husband in court? Is refusal to have sex considered as psychological incapacity? Did the court grant the annulment of their marriage?
