Actress Alexa Ilacad is stepping into a more mature phase of her career with her latest project, the iWant original series ‘Miss Behave’, which premiered on June 3.

Ahead of the series launch, the cast attended a Blue Carpet Premiere where Alexa opened up about portraying Marla Briones, a top-achieving student whose carefully built reputation is shattered after her private photos are leaked on campus.
The actress also revealed that Miss Behave marked a personal milestone in her acting career, as it featured her first-ever kissing scene on screen.
“To be honest, it was my first-ever kissing scene. I was very, very nervous. I was very scared,” Alexa admitted during the press conference. “My soul wasn’t there. I was really anxious.”
Despite her nervousness, Alexa said she felt fortunate that her scene partner was JC Alcantara, whom she described as caring, respectful, and supportive throughout the filming process.

She also credited director Ivan Andrew Payawal for creating a safe and professional environment on set.
“Everything had consent. We discussed everything beforehand,” she shared. “I was lucky because JC was such a gentle partner. He was very hands-on and very caring.”
Beyond its revenge-driven narrative, Miss Behave tackles timely and relevant issues affecting women and young people today, particularly those who have experienced online harassment, privacy violations, and public shaming.
“We made it with so much heart and pure intentions,” Alexa said. “We dedicate this to all the young people and women who have gone through experiences similar to those of our characters. This is for the victims and survivors of such incidents.”
Alexa also reflected on her decision to embrace more challenging and mature roles.

“One thing about me is that I’ve always been a fighter,” she said. “And the word that defines my life right now is brave. For Miss Behave, I had to be brave. If I was going to do this, it had to be all in or nothing at all.”
Director Payawal echoed the importance of the series, emphasizing its relevance to real-world issues.
“The topics we are tackling are happening in real life,” he said. “Our show is a safe zone for everybody.”
Joining Alexa in the series are Xyriel Manabat, Reign Parani, Andi Abaya, Rans Rifol, Akira Morishita, Raven Rigor, Zach Castañeda, LA Santos, and Zach Guerrero.
The first episode of Miss Behave is available for free on iWant, while new episodes will stream exclusively every Wednesday through the platform’s subscription plans.
