“It’s Showtime” also named Cainta, Rizal’s dance group Rizal Underground as its first ever Bida Kabarkada grand champion for its unique and theatrical hiphop performance that earned the only standing ovation from the judges.
Rizal Underground ditched the explosive stunts to give a compelling interpretation of Philippine history’s remarkable events, such as the battle between Magellan and Lapu-Lapu and Gen. MacArthur’s return to Leyte.
With an overall score of 9.5, Rizal Underground was declared champion and won the P1 million cash prize.
