Known as a very active triathlete, the actor got the challenge of a lifetime when he went through a series of real-life tasks without one of his legs. “I Dare You” even challenged Matteo to undergo triathlon training as a part of a relay triathlon team with Bidang Kapamilya Al Gutierrez, an amputee.
Matteo was even pushed to his limits after his supposed teammate, actress Aubrey Miles quit from the challenge, and was thus forced to carry the burden of being both the team’s runner and swimmer. Matteo had to train hard to compete in a real triathlon against seasoned triathletes, all while juggling around his tapings.
Matteo and Al showed the usual dedication and hardwork required of athletes, but were they able to finish the race? Watch “I Dare You Season 2” with John Prats, Deniesse Aguilar, Robi Domingo, and Melai Cantiveros Saturday night (Nov 9) after “Maalaala Mo Kaya.”
