The night of 31st of March was a special time to remember by Social Media writers who stormed the TreeHouse Tavern in A.Venue, Makati City. A music blogcon for Homeworkz talents was held for the first time in the venue, both being co-owned by man of the hour himself, JayR.
A pretty start by Glaiza De Castro and Francheska Farr
We catched a glimpse of the brilliant performances delivered by two singing beauties of GMA7 before they left for a previous engagement. They could not linger for the rest of the evening, but nevertheless add grace to the event with their magnetic presence on-stage. They missed the Q & A part, yet managed to gamely poses before the blogger’s lens.
SALBAKUTA is all geared to restore their glory day
The cool voices behind the monster-hit “S2pid Luv” which catapulted their band’s name into fame have just given birth to a 13 songs album “Rebirth” prior to it’s disbandment. JayR collaborates with the group in one of their singles and the demo proves that they all get better as time passes. For Salbakuta, blending with any type of genre is tantamount to eating peanuts. Plus, they never ceases in amusing their followers with their wit and seasoned antics. Dang! they love poking fun at themselves…
Kley band’s premiere vocalist, Deejay Poblete goes solo
How is it working with your uncle? Were you a bit pressured? I asked: “He’s pretty much supportive of me so our teamwork has been so much rewarding” the”rock-chic” Deejay responded with a smile. Despite bagging top titles, the PinoyPop Superstar & Best New Artist (Group) at Aliw Awards for which she was the lead vocal, has kept her simple ways. The time the the band Kley has broken up , the members sadly parted to trail their calling separately. Deejay is excited to launch her very own album under Homeworkz soon.
Q-York Rocks!
I found they guys are english language mentor like Deejay Poblete. No wonder, they articulate and enunciate words really well.Where did you get your name, one asked: Q-York stands for “Quality – Yields Our Richest Key” and also Queens, New York where the group was founded in 2001. KNOWA LAZARUS and FLAVA MATIKZ are brothers from different moms. Raised in Queens, New York, but they would rather share their musical whiz here.
MICA JAVIER is beyond beautiful
The 2014 Best New Female Artist recipient of Aliw Awards just don’t sing, write songs, but is a great dancer as well. Oh yes, she’s a budding businesswoman, too. One of her most notable moment as an artist, accordingly, is when she did a front act to JLO’ s dance concert held in MOA Arena earlier this year. She dances like JLo, but sings like Nelly Furtado.
She could easily mesmerize her audience, the male department in particular with her oozing charm, talent and radiance. “She’ is too sweet to be a rocker”! a fellow’s remark.

JAYR’s new-found popularity in impersonating music icons was a revelation, but we’ve discovered some more of his versatility off-cam. The guy’s a true-blue congenial and gentleman. We were treated like a star, made each and everyone’s presence extra special, so we’re at home in his portal. He would shake hands tightly, remember names and never wavered in smiling. I can just imagine the warm support his team in Homeworkz and crew TreeHouse is getting under his safe wings. I trust they would altogether soar a long way, as he is now…
