Game of Thrones, the fantasy saga adapted from George RR Martin’s bestselling novel A Song of Fire and Ice, has finally made an epic return with simulcast in 170 countries.
HBO decided to simultaneously air the latest season in 170 countries as a response to GOT being the world’s most pirated TV program.
A tale that revolves around noble families fighting for the Iron Throne in the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, GOT is a multi-plot story that features, warriors, lovers, princesses, dragons, eunuchs and even zombies.

One of the show’s creators, David Benioff told MSN Entertainment that the hit-show with a massive cult following is about to get bigger and bigger for its fifth season.
He said: “For four seasons, you’ve had all these characters who’ve been separated by geographt- from Daenerys and her band of warriors roaming around to everyone in Westeros.”
According to Benioff, the characters’ story lines are beginning to merge this season.
“It’s going to be a big East-meets-West season,” Benioff added.
In an interview with USA Today, Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow in the medieval-themed series, will be put on spotlight this season.
“This year, you’re going to see some of the most horrible things and darkest places. Parts of my story are a horror,” Harington divulged.
Since it was aired in 2011, GOT has gained a strong following of “thronies” despite frequent use of violence, nudity, and sexual violence against women. The critically-acclaimed series has brought home numerous awards including 14 Emmy’s in the US.
