Alden Richards had been conspicuously absent from “Eat Bulaga” since January 6, 2016. He left for Dubai on January 5 and promised his love team partner, Maine Mendoza a.k.a. Yaya Dub that he will be back by, Monday or January 11, 2016.
Alden had concerts in Dubai and Qatar on January 7 and 8.
But Monday came and went, Alden was nowhere in sight. The Lolas of ‘Kalyeserye’ kept asking Yaya Dub where he is, and Yaya Dub said that Alden is busy with his gigs.
This prompted Wally Bayola (Lola Nidora) to joke that Alden is working too hard, even accepting a job like hosting a debut. Jose Manalo chimed in by asking what event Alden is attending, for him to be absent on ‘Kalyeserye’.
Every ‘Kalyeserye’ fan knows that Alden has a schedule that almost never lets him sleep. He has mall shows, photo shoots for magazines, TVC shootings, concerts, hostings, guestings, etc. Name it, and Alden probably has that kind of gig on his list.
Today, Alden finally appeared on ‘Kalyeserye’. Yaya Dub noted how much leaner he is. Although he said that’s because he is trying to trim down, we’re sure a lot of fans will credit his lost pounds to overwork.

Alden has always said in his interviews before, that he is only taking advantage of the opportunities that are now coming his way, brought about by the meteoric rise of the AlDub love team. He has been in the business for five years and knows that one cannot always be at the top of the game.
Who could blame him then, if he follows the saying, “Strike while the iron is hot”?
