“Magpasikat Week,” the week-long, annual talent competition in “It’s Showtime,” got off to a good start with the tandem of Vhong Navarro-Jhong Hilario treating the madlang people to visually stunning performances early this week.

Last Tuesday (Oct 18), Vhong and Jhong paid tribute to janitors for their hardwork and dedication with a performance that combined mixed martial arts, sports tricks, and interactive computer effects. Veteran actor Eddie Garcia also appeared in a video in which he turned over to Vhong the “gold stick,” which symbolized the mops used by the janitors in their work.
The pair was joined by Hashtags Nikko, Jon, and Luke, and GirlTrends Jessica, Leyana, and Riva. Janitors also graced the stage after their whole performance.
This year, the different teams were tasked to make their performances more creative by incorporating “It’s Showtime’s” iconic score cards.
Sitting as ‘hurados’ for the “Magpasikat Week” are respected musician and band leader Mel Villena, beauty queen Precious Lara Quigaman, director Nick Olanka, singer-actress Jolina Magdangal, and Sen. Sonny Angara.
The team that will get the highest score from the judges and will be declared the champion, meanwhile, will be given P300,000, which will be donated to their chosen charity.
Last year, the team of Teddy, Vice and Jugs was named the champion. Which team will impress the madlang people the most this year?
