At the grand press conference of their upcoming series “Destined to Be Yours,” actors Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards answered the questions asked by them by the media.
Mendoza mirthfully said in a Janina San Miguel way she “don’t feel any pressure right now” over the pilot airing of her debut series with Richards.
“Hindi po, more on excitement kasi ‘yung nararamdaman ko ngayon, lalo na first time naming makita ‘yung trailer at music video,” she said.
Mendoza described their taping as challenging because the set was located in the hills of Dolores, Quezon.
Asked if she’s ready for people who will evaluate her acting skills, the actress said: “Naku, eh kahit ano naman pong ginagawa ko, eh may nasasabi naman po ang tao. So, basta po dito, ginagawa ko ‘yung best ko dito. So, feeling ko okay na, basta satisfied ako sa acting ko.”
On the other hand, Richards admitted that his acting skills were not as good as before since his last series was 2 years ago.
“Parang meron po akong feeling na para po akong pumurol sa acting since masyado pong napahinga, not doing series with GMA. Parang na-feel ko po na nakukulangan na po ako sa sarili ko when it comes to acting,” he explained.
Still and all, Richards said he and Mendoza gave their best to give their fans a good series on prime time.
Meanwhile, the two were asked if they had ever thought about the possibility of a romantic relationship between them.
Mendoza said while smiling: “Puwede po, naiisip ko naman po siya.”
As for Richards, he confessed that the love team were are enjoying their moment together.
“Ay, opo naman. Kasi siyempre, ang galing po kasi kung paano in-orchestra ‘yung plano na pagkitain kaming dalawa at dalhin po kami kung nasaan po kami ngayon.
“So, hindi po talaga nawawala sa isip namin na what if? Wala naman pong pressure kumbaga. Basta po, ine-enjoy lang po namin ‘yung moment, every moment together.”
“Destined to Be Yours” is a debut series of AlDub. It will replace “Alyas Robin Hood” and will have its world premiere on February 27.
