Few days ago, FHM Philippines hailed the new Queen of Sexy.
23-year-old Kapamilya actress Nadine Lustre landed at the number 1 spot with 491,039 votes in the men’s magazine’s poll. On June 29, they have officially awarded her the plaque of recognition as the 2017 FHM Sexiest Woman today.
However, what Nadine considers as an “achievement,” bashers see as a swindle.
The second-in-line sexy Kapuso star Kim Domingo earned a lot of sympathy from the winner’s haters because they believe that she’s sexier than Nadine.
But what are the true criteria to make a woman sexy?
The Body
Let’s face it: the first thing that goes in any one’s mind upon the word sexy is the physique. While there are many definitions and preferences to the word, there is a generic concept to it.
Nadine first caught attention in her bikini photo on Instagram that instantly became viral the moment it went public. Last January, the actress caused a frenzy on her followers and the Filipino audience after flaunting her well-toned body by the beach.
This was the start of the more daring stint of Nadine. After earning both positive and negative feedbacks, she decided to make a habit of showing off her fit body.
While Kim Domingo is effortlessly hot, according to most men, there’s still a fine line between FIT and BUSTY.
Kim’s body features an obviously huge front but as a whole, you would notice that there’s not much more in it aside from the bust.
The Attitude
The appeal matters as much as the body. More often than not, people prefer the attitude more than the package itself.
Many will agree to that.
Nadine’s posture and aura speak very highly of her. In fact, this is one of her sexy traits that might just be a big factor that played in her victory as the sexiest.
It’s the fierceness in her eyes that do the talking.
I have to admit that it was hard to look for a wholesome photo of Kim. Of course, she’s known as a sexy model posing for magazines.
This led to her lack of appeal. People are just used to see her in bikinis and thin tops, the end.
I think that Kim failed to express her other sides and remained only what she’s discovered for.
The Fashion
Nowadays, it’s hard to be a public figure without the audience following what you wear. This gave birth to the hastags “OOTD” and “OOTN” used by most celebrities whenever they post a whole outfit on social media.
We all can’t deny that Nadine has a high fashion sense. If you visit her Instagram, you would see that she’s often seen in clothes that are perfectly matched to her attitude.
She never fails to “wow” her fans and the Filipino viewers whenever she dresses up. Whether casual or grande, she slays.
Kim, on the other hand, dresses simply. There’s not much power in her wardrobe, or maybe she just doesn’t want that much attention or to go extra.
Conclusions…
The debate on who’s worthy of the title will go on for quite a time. Many will speak and side on their biases because we all have our takes on every issue. Be it the FHM or other matters.
Plus, whatever we say from this day on, Nadine continues to be the winner and the holder of the plaque.
The answer to who deserves it though cannot be very much argued upon. There is more to the word SEXY than the physical features of a man or a woman.
There’s always room for improvement and transformation. If I were these runner-ups, I’d focus and turn my attention to that.
