ARMM Assemblyman advised Mocha Uson to hire etiquette manager.
PCCO Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson has caught people’s attention again, this time for not wearing hijab and not removing her boots when they visited a Muslim center in Marawi.
Uson was with President Duterte last Monday, September 11 when he visited Marawi City.
In a Facebook video post which she already took down after drawing controversy, Mocha was seen inside the Muslim center wearing her boots and without hijab. The act didn’t sit well with many specially muslims since it was contrary to their religious practice of removing any footwear and wearing hijab whenever inside a mosque.
ARMM Assemblyman and Provincial Peace and Order Council spokesman Zia Alonto Adiong criticized PCCO Asec. Uson for the act of allegedly taking photos and selfies inside the mosque with her boots on.
“That’s where Usec. (sic) Uson was taking selfie with her boots on,” he said
“We should avoid actions that may offend our Muslim brothers and sisters. We advise caution to our officials to prudently carry out their mandate in a manner that conforms with religious standards and protocols when entering religious establishments in order to maintain respect to the sensitive nature of places of worship” he added.
