Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber attended their first Bahay Bulilit turnover. Their foundation ELM Tree Foundation partnered with Ronald McDonald House (RMH) Charities and built a Bahay Bulilit, a program that builds day care centers where children can learn and play.
The Bahay Bulilit program also aims to provide low-income families with a safe environment for their children to study and play. Moreover, children aged two to five years old can learn and prepare for formal schooling.
In addition, the daycare center has books and other educational materials to aid the children’s learning journey. Social workers and some community volunteers can also facilitate lessons and group activities for the children.
Maymay and Edward also represented their own foundation, ELMTree Foundation, in the turnover. Moreover, the foundation’s mission aims to provide safe shelter, emotional support and education underprivileged and vulnerable children. This will also enable the children to become role models for future generations.
