- Lauren also said that to be a “Big Winner” does not require good looks and talents.
Many believed that to be invited to the Pinoy Big Brother house is a one-way ticket to having a showbiz career; it ultimately defeats the concept and fact that it is a “reality show” not an “artista search”. This is what director Lauren Dyogi is here to put a stress and remind everyone.
The director explained that PBB is not there to look for the next celebrity. Those who had showbiz careers after leaving the house were only given the opportunity due to the fans’ clamor. But, not all of them ended up with the same fate.
“It’s a reality show that has a capacity to make stars out of its housemates.
According to the director, “Being a ‘Big Winner’ doesn’t require good looks and talents. The housemates are being judged by ‘Magandang pagkatao na puwedeng hangaan ng mga manonood’.
Siyempre po sila ‘yong naiiwan sa show business, sila ‘yong visible so sila ‘yong naaalala.”
There were previous PBB housemates who were successfully blessed up with showbiz careers while others returned to their old lives.
