- “Onanay” and “Victor Magtanggol” are now ready to conquer GMA Telebabad
- “Onanay” is expected to premiere in 2018 on GMA Network’s Telebabad line-up first before “Victor Magtanggol”
- On the other hand, Victor Magtanggol is set to premiere in July 2018 on the same line-up.
GMA Network has started counting days for their primetime series “The Cure” and “Kambal Karibal.” “The Cure” has already announced their last three weeks on air while “Kambal Karibal” has yet to disclose their finale.
Two big teleseryes await for the official announcement of the network regarding their respective time slots. “Onanay” and “Victor Magtanggol” currently has constant promotion from GMA Network on TV, print and online.
“Onanay” will serve as Nora Aunor’s comeback and she will star as the title role. The actress plays a special role on the series as Nelia, a loving and caring grandmother who is kind yet willing to fight for what is right and will do everything for her family.
Under the helm of Gina Alajar, Nora will be joined by Mikee Quintos, Kate Valdez and Cherie Gil. The series also introduces newest Kapuso, Jo Berry who auditioned for the role of Onay, the vertically challenged daughter of Nelia. Completing the cast are Gardo Versoza, Wendell Ramos, Rochelle Pangilinan, Vaness del Moral, Enrico Cuenca and special guest Adrian Alandy.
Meanwhile, Alden Richards’ “Victor Magtanggol” is making headlines due to its similarity to Thor of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). The title character of “Victor Magtanggol” could be his biggest television role to date. This is his first major solo project without love team partner Maine Mendoza since the two were paired up in 2015.
Before he dove towards shooting for his action scenes for Victor Magtanggol, Alden went through an intense physical preparation. Aside from going to the gym regularly, he also had parkour training.
“Onanay” or “Victor Magtanggol” to replace “The Cure”? There’s definitely no official announcement yet but one thing’s for sure, these two were ready to show Kapuso viewers something new.
