A double serving of bittersweet love stories await Filipino homes this weekend as Alessandra de Rossi and Empoy Marquez’s “Kita Kita” and Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia’s “Love You to the Stars and Back” air on ABS-CBN TVplus’ KBO this Saturday (Aug. 18) and Sunday (Aug. 19).
“Kita Kita” is an uncommon tale of love between a woman (Alessandra as Lea) suffering from heartbreak and a man (Empoy as Tonyo) who devotes what would be the remainder of his life to giving back to the kindness shown to him. Audiences have raved about the movie as it delivered a heavy emotional punch with its characters’ acceptance, kindness, and selflessness.
Meanwhile before the airing of JoshLia’s debut teleserye, “Ngayon at Kailaman,” their characters as Mika (Julia) and Caloy (Joshua) in “Love You to the Stars and Back” will take the viewers to a road trip full of adventures and misadventures – and lessons that usually take a lifetime for other people to learn.
