It is official. GMA Network finally accepted its defeat by letting the Alden Richards-fantasy series ‘Victor Magtanggol’ have its finale on November 16.
It is proven time and again that ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ of Coco Martin is indeed unbreakable.
The Kapuso series created to rival the ever top-rating ABS-CBN series could not stand any longer and only managed to last for three months only as opposed to the Cardo Dalisay adventures is already on more than three years now.
In defense to the production staff of ‘Victor Magtanggol’ stressed that the show’s original plan is to only have the show run for three months. The statement contradicts their previous announcement that the show will continue until 2019.
Now that one of GMA Network’s major stars has buckled down, GMA is now gearing for another gun. The challenge is now passed on to Dennis Trillo and Dingdong Dantes in an upcoming series ‘Cain at Abel’ and is set to replace the overhyped ‘Victor Magtanggol’.
Is this GMA’s final trump card? It is noticeable that the station had to combined its two prized actors–Dantes and Trillo, in an attempt to topple undisputed top-rating and based on two law enforcers; twin brothers who were separated during childhood and went on to pursue and commit to the sacred path of their father.
As soon as the action-packed series that will feature both Dingdong and Dennis; it will be easier to see if the said upcoming Kapuso series will finally break the long standing failed attempts and will prove the two actors’ potentials.
