The Clash grand champion Golden Cañedo admitted that bashing continued even after the competition is long over. Part of these is the accusation that she doesn’t have her own singing style and simply is copying styles from other singers.
During the pocket press interview for her upcoming event titled The Sweetheart and the Balladeer: Fun Night Only, she shared her plans for her career and its current issues.
“Gusto ko pa pong mag-focus sa akin. Kasi po madami ring nagsasabi sa ‘kin na nanggagaya raw po ako ng ibang mga singer kasi.
“’Yun nga po, birit, madami nang bumibirit. So ako naman po gusto ko po na mas may maipakita pang iba na birit, pero as Golden.
“Sa ngayon po nagwo-work po ako gusto kong hanapin as Golden.”
Golden Cañedo will be performing together with other Kapuso singers such as Christian Bautista, Julie Anne San Jose, The Clash finalist Josh Adornado, and the comedic duo Super Tekla and Donita Nose viia The Sweetheart and the Balladeer: Fun Night Only to be held in Iloilo on January 27.

“Noon po judge po siya, si Ms. Julie naman po, na sinusubaybayan ko po siya every time sa TV noon. Kinakanta ko pa po ‘yung mga songs niya. Now po, kasama ko na po siya sa concert,” she ended.
