Martin del Rosario has two leading men in the upcoming film, Born Beautiful. He has kissing scenes with both Kiko Matos and Akihiro Blanco. He would talk to his leading men before they shoot the intimate scenes.

Del Rosario pointed out that Barbs‘ relationship with Greg (Kiko) is more on the physical and sexual side. Meanwhile, Barbs and Michaelangelo have a romantic relationship.
“Nabasa ko ‘yung script pero hindi ko alam ‘yung treatment. Pero I trust Direk Percy and Direk Jun, alam kong hindi nila ako pababayaan. ‘Yung relationship kasi nila [ni Kiko], ‘yung parang animalistic, sexual relationship. Si Aki naman, siya ‘yung parang romantic and passionate.”
Martin talks to his leading men prior to doing the kissing scenes.
Del Rosario shared that he, as Barbs, relished the kissing scenes.
“Yung unang eksena ko, may kissing scene ako kay Kiko Matos. Siyempre kabado ako, pero nag-usap kami ni Kiko doon bago mag-take, kasi ang instruction ni Direk is kahit ayoko na sa kanya, gustong-gusto ko pa rin siya. Pagdating ng take, kakabahan ka lang naman ‘yung unang dampi lang, after nun, okay na. As Barbs naman ako, so feel na feel.”
He pointed out that Blanco was also nervous.
“Si Akihiro mas kabado. Mas kinakabahan din ako kasi galing na ako dun sa kissing scene kay Kiko. Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Since babae ako dito, pa-girl ako sa harap mo, wala kang choice, hindi kita susunggaban. Ikaw ang lalapit sa akin.’ Lagi namin pinag-uusapan.”
Martin doesn’t see anything different between kissing a man or a woman.
