Carlo Aquino finally speaks out on his current status with ex-girlfriend and co-star Angelica Panganiban. CarGel dubbed by their fans was put to a hot seat, after the apparent falling out of the two when Carlo was linked to another woman named Trina Candaza.
In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News, Carlo clarified the rumors regarding his present relationship with Angelica, after she declared to distance herself from him. He stated that they lacked the needed communication amid the romantic expectations of fans.
It was previously reported online when Angelica stated that her relationship with Carlo was ‘ruined’ by some of their fans. Since then, the two were not spotted posting photos together, aside from the promotional clips and photos related to their shared endorsement deal. Corresponding the perceived break between CarGel was the circulation of photos showing Aquino together with another woman during his vacation. Fans then took this as a signal that the actor was romantically linked with someone else.
Carlo addressed the issue stated, “As long as okay naman kami ni Angge, speaking terms naman kami, okay na ako doon. Kung anuman ang sinasabi ng mga tao, I don’t feel the need to explain anything. Basta ‘yung mga taong nagmamahal sa akin, ‘yung kilala ako, iyon lang ang importante. Naiintindihan nila ako.”
He also admitted that he was affected by the comments when the issue came out.
He said, “First time na mangyari sa akin ‘to, e. Malaking blessing, pero never kong inaakala na ganito pala.”
When asked whether he felt offended by the bashing when his photos with the woman circulated online, he stressed, “Anong gagawin natin? Opinyon nila ‘yon, e ‘di tatanggapin ko na lang kung ano ‘yung mga sinasabi nila sa akin.”
Without hesitation, he confirmed that the photos are real but he no longer gave further details about his relationship with the woman.
“Oo, totoo,” he disclosed.
