GMA Network’s ‘My Special Tatay’s’ ‘BoBrey’ love team of Ken Chan, who plays the role of Boyet, who has a mild intellectual disability, and Rita Daniela, who plays the role of Aubrey, a prostitute. ‘My Special Tatay’ avid viewers were amazed with the cast’s performance.
BoBrey love team caught the attention of the viewers and now with an upcoming album under GMA Music and an upcoming concert ‘My Special Love’ on May 11 at the Music Museum, San Juan City. ‘My Special Love’ is co-produced by GMA Music and Starmedia Entertainment. Sofia has been a Kapamilya star since 2012, since cast as Dindi Maghirang in the hit series ‘Princess and I’ that starred Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Enrique Gil, and Khalil Ramos. Also in 2014, she was cast in her first lead role through the movie ‘Relaks, It’s Just a Pag-ibig’ alongside Iñigo Pascual, Julian Estrada, and Ericka Villongco. Her performance in the said film was praised by critics, citing her as one of the actresses to look forward to.
She was given her own show ‘Pusong Ligaw,’ reuniting her with ‘Forevermore’ co-star Diego Loyzaga. Her love team with Diego did not work because of conflict, possibly due to differences in wavelengths and lifestyles.
Sofia was given another show as support to LizQuen in ‘Bagani.’ She played the role of Mayari as one of the baganis in the fantasy series. Many of the avid viewers of ‘Bagani’ were surprised when Mayari faced sudden death. There were those who were confused if it was really part of what would happen.
Last year, following the intrigue surrounding Sofia’s sudden departure from ‘Bagani,’ she become less and less visible on television, prompting speculation among her fans as to her standing in showbiz.
The actress knew that her absence on television may lead to many speculations.
On June 12, 2018, Sofia shared on her Twitter account that while she has gotten offers, she has decided to “lie low” from showbiz for now.
“okay so i think many of you are looking for me on screen. i have decided to lie low for a month. it’s good to be focusing, & loving yourself when you know you are slowly losing yourself from pushing it too hard. i learned a lot of things, to appreciate more, to be more positive.”

In her series of tweets Tuesday, Sofia continued: “I can’t wait for the time to love again, to love something, to love someone without worrying, & without overthinking. i wish i could stop everything, all the negative thoughts but we are not our anxiety. we are strong, we are fine.”
Her decision is understood and supported by her followers and supporters through their comments in her series of posts. Sofia also clarified rumors that she was transferring to another network.
On Twitter April 19, 2018, she wrote: “It’s not true that I’m going to transfer network. I’m proud to be a Kapamilya. Have a nice day, everybody!”
Sofia will be delighted to be with her fans again when she’s ready to accept projects.
