Loisa Andalio reacts to ABS-CBN’s “frozen” franchise bill

  • Loisa Andalio shared her disappointment on the possibility of most employees who will lose their jobs if ABS-CBN will fail to secure its license to operate in 2020.
  • ABS-CBN’s license is set to expire in 2020.
  • Andalio is a co-star of Angel Locsin in The General’s Daughter.

Just like her co-star Angel Locsin in the teleserye The General’s Daughter, Loisa Andalio isn’t happy with the news that ABS-CBN is endangered of folding.

Andalio has been following a fan on twitter for five years, praised President Rodrigo Duterte for raising the pension of military retirees, “Thank you Pres. Duterte for the pension increase ng military retirees. Kasama na dito ang father ko. Ang saya nila ni Mommy. Ngayon lang daw siya nakakuha ng ganito kalaki na increase. Parang gusto ko na tuloy pumasok sa reserve force.”

Andalio, who plays Claire del Fierro in The General’s Daughter replied and reminded the Netizen that a lot of jobs are at stake, “pero madami naman mawawalan ng work sa abs :/”

The fan replied, “Hindi yan tiwala lang. Madadaan yan sa mabuting usapan.”

On June 12, a newspaper report said the lower legislature froze House Bill 4349, which sought to renew ABS-CBN’s franchise — set to expire on March 20, 2020 — by another 25 years. This means the company would not be able to operate should lawmakers in the 18th Congress fail to pass and approve it.

President Rodrigo Duterte has threatened to block ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal, which is expiring in 2020. Andalio is an artist under ABS-CBN.
