No less than three of the entertainment industry’s most respected personalities—Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista, actress par excellence Ms. Cherie Gil, comedy lodi Jose Manalo— will take their seats as this season’s StarStruck Council.
During the grand media conference of StarStruck on June 10, Monday, Dantes was asked if his wife, Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, could be a survivor if ever she joined the popular Kapuso talent search.
“I think so yes!” agad na sagot ng Kapuso Primetime King.
“Kapareho noong experience ko when I first saw her, kasi hindi naman kami nagkatrabaho kaagad.
“Nakita ko siya sa back stage ng isang studio, so doon pa lang nakita ko very interesting na ‘yung kanyang aura, siguro dahil sa kanyang appearance.
“Pero noong nakita ko na siya mag-perform, e, mas na-validate ‘yung hinala ko na may ‘something’ dito sa taong ito,” Dantes narrated.
He also said that this is how it feels when he sees a hopeful contestant which has the potential to be a star.
“Parang ganun, di ba, kapag nakita mo ‘yung isang hopeful, ‘yung unang bubungad sa iyo ‘yung kanyang pisikal na kaanyuan.
“Pero kapag sinupplement na niya ng totoong talent and ng totoong kakayahan, e, mas nabubuo ‘yung katotohanan na he or she can make it,” he explained.
Dantes and Marian welcomed their son Ziggy on April 16, 2019. They also have a three-year-old daughter Maria Letizia—more popularly known as Zia. Rivera gave birth to Zia in November 2015, almost a year after she married Dantes.
