- Kathryn Bernardo and Nadine Lustre are dubbed as the “New Generation Nora Aunor and Vilma Santos”
- Kathryn and Nadine are both Best Actress Awardees this year
- The Multimedia Princess and The Phenomenal Box-Office Queen will be rivals at the box-office
Kapamilya actresses Kathryn Bernardo and Nadine Lustre are always being compared by fans in terms of looks, sex appeal, popularity, and even acting skills. While some believe that Lustre is better than Bernardo, some claim that its the other way around.
Kathryn and Nadine are two of the brightest stars of ABS-CBN in this era. They both earned Best Actress Awards this year from different award-giving bodies for their talent in acting. Because of this, The Phenomenal Box-Office Queen and the Multimedia Princess have been dubbed as the “New Generation of Nora Aunor and Vilma Santos” for they seem to be competing with each other of who will bag the most awards.
Now that they will be rivals at the box office, who will prevail between the stars?
Kathryn Bernardo stars with Alden Richards in another movie offering of Star Cinema Production, under the direction of Box-Office director Cathy Garcia-Molina. Titled Hello, Love, Goodbye, the target date for its release is on July 31.
Meanwhile, Nadine will appear on the big screen opposite Sam Concepcion in their musical film titled, Indak. The upcoming film is produced by Viva Films and directed by director Paulo Basinillo. The movie will hit Philippine cinemas on August 7.
Due to constant promotions, Kathryn’s movie will surely become a hit. But, Nadine’s movie, since Pinoys are fond of music, will surely give a good fight at the box-office.
However, wouldn’t it be nice to see Kathryn and Nadine together in a project?
For sure, having two ‘Best Actress Awardees’, it will become a hit.

But, are they willing to work together?
The Never Not Love You star has already stated that her doors are open for any possibility of working with Kathryn.
In an interview by ABS-CBN News and other members of the press, the actress said, “Bakit naman po hindi, ‘di ba? Kung mayroon namang magandang material para sa aming dalawa. I mean hindi naman kami (magka-away), okay naman po kami e hindi naman kami nag-aaway in real life. So I guess, okay naman.”
Earlier this year, the Multimedia Princess bagged two Best Actress Awards given by FAMAS and Gawad Urian for the film Never Not Love You with her partner, James Reid. On the other hand, Kathryn was recognized too for the movie The Hows of Us. She was awarded as Best Actress by PMPC Star Award for Movies and The EDDYs Entertainment Editors Awards.
“I guess maybe, it’s my time lang now, I don’t think its gonna be forever like that. Like what I said before, iba-iba kami pero baka ngayon lang siguro ‘yung moment ko, next time iba naman,” Nadine remarked on her winning multiple awards.
Aside from Hello, Love, Goodbye and Indak, another local film that will grace Philippine Theaters is Michael V’s Family History that will be showing on July 24.
