- Maja Salvador will top-bill the upcoming series The Killer Bride
After being a judge on World of Dance Philippines,’Maja Salvador will return to doing teleseryes via ABS-CBN’s upcoming The Killer Bride.
Her last teleserye was hit revenge drama Wildflower which aired for a year.
The latest teaser released by ABS-CBN shows an anguished Salvador shouting, “Sinusumpa ko, babalikan ko kayo lahat at ipapakita ko sa inyo kung anong klaseng demonyo ang tinapon niya sa impyerno.”
The Killer Bride’s’ gothic-themed story is set in the fictional town Las Espadas. Geoff Eigenmann shared that his character Vito is a very passionate man when it comes to music. However, he will eventually venture to manage their family’s business as he gets more mature in life. Salvador plays the role of Camilla, a woman who grew up filled with happiness and love but is bound to have a complicated life and die early because of her relationship with Vito, who belongs to their family’s rival clan.
Janella Salvador will be portraying a mortuary make-up artist named Emma, a girl who will mysteriously arrive in the town of Las Espadas after Camilla’s death, claiming that she is being possessed by Camilla. Joshua Garcia said that his character Elias is a gardener, who always chooses to be happy despite having experienced a traumatic tragedy in the past wherein his family was massacred.
The series will serve as a reunion for Maja Salvador and Geoff Eigenmann, who were paired in the movie Villa Estrella in 2009 and in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya in 2008. They were supposed to do a teleserye called Moon River, but the project was shelved. Eigenmann then decided to transfer to GMA Network in 2009.
Under the helm of Dado Lumibao, The Killer Bride also stars Jobelle Salvador, Dominic Ochoa, Alexa Ilacad, Loren Burgos, Eddie Gutierrez, Aurora Sevilla, Precious Lara Quigaman, Ariella “Ara” Arida, James Blanco, Sam Concepcion, Cris Villanueva, Pamu Pamorada, Malou De Guzman, Pepe Herrera, Eric Nicolas, Keanna Reeves, and Neil Coleta.
