Nadine Lustre and Kathryn Bernardo are among the brightest stars in the entertainment industry nowadays.

The two are often being compared to each other for having equal excellence in acting skills and for having similar looks.

Their respective love teams dubbed as KathNiel (Kathryn and Daniel Padilla) and Jadine (James Reid and Nadine) are also pitted against each other by fandoms.

Nadine said in an interview with ABS-CBN News that she is open to the idea of working with Kathryn provided that they will be given good projects.

“Bakit naman po hindi, ‘di ba? Kung mayroon namang magandang material para sa aming dalawa. I mean hindi naman kami (magka-away), okay naman po kami e hindi naman kami nag-aaway in real life. So I guess, okay naman,”Nadine answered.

For this year the Multimedia Princess bagged three best actress awards from FAMAS, Gawad Urian, and Young Critics Circle for her movie Never Not Love You. But Nadine remained modest and reiterated that she was just lucky this year.

“I guess maybe, it’s my time lang now, I don’t think it’s going to be forever like that. Like what I said before, iba-iba kami pero baka ngayon lang siguro ‘yung moment ko, next time iba naman,” Nadine explained.

In a separate interview, Kathryn also said she is open to working with Nadine on a good project.

“Game ako, basta may magandang materyal, okay sa VIVA Artist (Agency), okay sa Star Magic. Kasi may mga proseso ‘yan, hindi naman porke’t gusto natin, pwede na agad,” Kathryn said in an interview with ABS-CBN News and some entertainment press on July 24, Thursday.

“Pero kung ako personally, basta may magandang materyal, yes!” Kathryn added.

The actress said that their collaboration may be possible citing that she was recently teamed up with Kapuso actor Alden Richards.

“Kasi ito ngang kay Alden (Richards), nagawan naman natin ng paraaan. What more ito na, pareho kaming nasa ABS-CBN? Sabi ko nga, hello to opportunity this year, so yeah I’m open naman,” she explained.

The Phenomenal Box-Office Queen clarified that there is no competition going on between her and Nadine saying that she is happy for their respective achievements.

Kathryn was recently hailed as Best Actress at the 2019 Entertainment Editors’ Choice (The Eddys) Awards and at the 35th Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies for her 2018 movie The Hows of Us.

“Happy ako na nakuha niya ‘yung best actress, happy din ako sa nangyari sa akin. Ang mga fans lang naman ang gumagawa ng ganyang issue, pero personally sa amin dalawa, hindi kami nagkakasama off-cam, pero okay kami,” she shared.

Kathryn believes that they both have different edges as an actress and are unique in their own ways.

“Naniniwala ako na magka-iba kasi kami ni Nadine. Mayroon kaming uniqueness in our own ways, mayroon siyang strengths, meron din ako, so iba. Singer siya, hindi naman ako singer, alam mo? Magkaiba po kami,” she concluded.

For now, Kathryn is busy promoting her movie Hello, Love, Goodbye with Alden which is set to release on July 31.Meanwhile,Nadine prepares for her upcoming dance musical film Indak with Sam Concepcion showing this August 7 on cinemas nationwide.
