Who hasn’t heard of Kadenang Ginto? With the countless memes flooding the social media, this ABS-CBN afternoon soap is definitely this year’s most talked-about teleserye as its online presence translates from its wide viewership on TV.
In the wake of Tropical Storm Falcon’s suspension of classes in Metro Manila on Wednesday (July 17) morning, a netizen who commented, “Cassie hindi ka muna papasok sa iskol” confused the newest Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto.
“Sino po ba si Cassie at puro ganito ang reply niyo sa kin? Ano yun, lahat kayo may kapatid na Cassie ang pangalan 😂 Someone explain this meme to me pls para makatulog na ko,” Sotto tweeted.

Sotto’s reply further fired up the fans of Kadenang Ginto.
Some others suggested for Sotto to turn on his TV to watch It’s Showtime, the rival show of Eat Bulaga (his father Vic Sotto’s show) because Kadenang Ginto airs right after the ABS-CBN noontime show.
