GMA Network’s ‘The Better Woman’ started weak but was able to pick up and win with its finale.
It wasn’t a good start for Andrea Torres and Derek Ramsay’s first teleserye project together but it wasn’t bad at all. In fact, the two became closer to each other and right before their teleserye ended, Andrea and Derek admitted that they were in a relationship.
From the second timeslot, their teleserye was moved to a later timeslot due to its mature content after a month when management listened to its viewers’ request.
It was a heartbreaking finale for ‘The Better Woman‘ when twins Jasmine and Juliet (both played by Andrea) were placed in a situation where only one of them will survive. In the end, Juliet donated her heart to her other twin Jasmine to save her life. It was a cliche scenario but it’s how they delivered it.
Even Andrea and Derek couldn’t hold back their tears in a live IG video during its finale.
Derek said, “The messages keep coming in and we are so happy and we are so proud. Maraming, maraming salamat sa inyo for supporting The Better Woman.”
“Nakakaiyak! Thank you, we love you,” Andrea added.
And last Friday (September 27), ‘The Better Woman’ concluded with 10.4% in the third time slot while its rival show on ABS-CBN, ‘The Killer Bride’ got only 9.2% according to NUTAM.
