‘Eat Bulaga’ heartthrob Kenneth Medrano says he does not dream of becoming a famous celebrity

Eat Bulaga heartthrob Kenneth Earl Medrano or Bae Kenneth gained  popularity after being hailed as the That’s My Bae grand winner in 2015. He is also known for his viral Dubsmash videos thus earning the name “The Philippines’ King of Dubsmash.

He is currently a mainstay of the said noontime show of GMA Network. He had his first acting role in the series Buena Familia in 2015 and he was then cast in the romcom series Trops in 2016.

Though the actor has already gained numerous fans since his TV debut, Medrano shared that he is not aiming to become a famous celebrity. His goal is to stay longer in showbiz.

“Hindi ko po gusto sumikat, gusto ko lang po tumagal,” he said.

“I love my job kasi dream ko po ito, e.

“Kahit hindi po ako ganun kasikat katulad ni Alden Richards, basta tuluy-tuloy lang ako na nandito sa industry ganito,” Medrano shared with during the All-New September Primetime event held last September 10, Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Medrano extended his heartfelt gratitude for the longest-running noontime show in the country, Eat Bulaga, for giving him a career opportunity along with his fellow That’s My Bae finalists.

He shared:“Sobrang laki po ng tulong ng Eat Bulaga actually sa amin, hindi lang po sa akin kundi sa aking mga ka-grupo ko That’s My Bae, everyday po kami napapanood.

“Alam naman po nila na ginawa po namin ‘yung best namin para makatulong din po kami sa Eat Bulaga and siyempre tumutulong din po ‘yung Bulaga sa amin.”

Medrano has had roles in Calle Siete (2016), The Half Sisters, (2015), Ismol Family (2015),  and other drama anthologies.

Medrano is now set to take on another project in the Kapuso network via the primetime series One of the Baes. It is scheduled to air this September 30 starring Ken Chan in the title role and Rita Daniela.
