- Doctor Willie Ong will have his life story featured in a movie
- The film’s gross earnings will be donated to poor and sick people
- The film also aims to inspire persons struggling in life
Dr. Willie Ong recently announced his life will be made into a biographical movie titled as Doc Willie The Movie. Accordingly, the movie’s gross earnings will be donated to the sick and poor.
It will star Hero Angeles as the young Doc Willie while Rachelle Ricketts will portray the young Dr. Liza. Rey PJ Abellana will be playing the older Doc Willie while Mariz Ricketts will play the older Dr. Liza who became Dr. Ong’s wife.
The film is slated for release in 2020 and Doc Willie revealed that the film’s shooting has already started.

Si Rachelle Ricketts ang gaganap na young Doc Liza, si PJ Abellana ang older Doc Willie, at Mariz Ricketts ay older Doc Liza. Next year po ipapalabas sa sinehan. Sh00ting na ngayon,” Dr. Willie captioned his Facebook page post last October 21.
He said that the film also aims to inspire those who are experiencing hardships in life particularly those who are struggling with depression.
“Layunin ng Movie ay magbigay ng inspiration sa mga depressed (tulad ko dati) at nawawalan ng pag-asa sa buhay.
“Lahat ng kikitain namin sa movie ay itutulong….Kung papalarin ng Diyos ay makaka-raise tayo ng funds. Lahat ng paghihirap at pagsub0k ko ay ilalabas natin para matuto ang iba sa istorya. Walang papogi. Salamat sa Diyos sa paggabay sa atin. Salamat kay Reli De Leon, commissioner ng Philracom sa pag-produce ng movie,” he shared.
The film will also include Efren Reyes, Jackie Lou Blanco, Rez Cortez, and the special participation of Nora Aunor. It will be directed by Ronnie Ricketts.
For several years, Dr. Willie has been known for giving free medical treatments and medical missions. He also manages a Facebook page to give medical advices to millions of his followers.
He ran for the Senate in the May 2019 elections, but lost despite having a huge number of supporters.
