ABS-CBN’s flagship primetime newscast TV Patrol seemed to be the new The Buzz after Karen Davila’s most talked about interview with Marjorie Barretto.
On Tuesday, October 22, Marjorie graced TV Patrol with an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN broadcast journalist Karen Davila.
The interview immediately drew social media attention landing as one of the trending topics on Twitter Philippines.
Netizens were all over Twitter with their different reactions to the revealing interview. One netizen even questioned if she was still watching TV Patrol or if The Buzz make a comeback.

During the interview, Marjorie confirmed what used to be an open secret, her past relationship with Recom Echiverri with whom she has a daughter named Erich. She also answered allegations hurled against her by sisters Gretchen and Claudine.
This kind of interview was what The Buzz was famous for. Just recently, many netizens have been clamoring for the Kapamilya Sunday showbiz talk show to be revived.
With all the showbiz controversies that are unfolding on social media just like this latest Barretto sisters feud, people wanted to a have a show that will discuss the latest issues in full just like what The Buzz used to do.
Last August, LionhearTV also ran a story about netizens’ clamor for The Buzz‘s comeback. The story was brought about by Roxy Liquigan’s retweet of an ANCX’s article asking for the Sunday showbiz-oriented talk show to return to TV.
