Jennylyn Mercado reacts to eased social distancing

Actress Jennylyn Mercado reacted to DOTr’s decision to ease physical distancing measures for public transportation with a glammed up ruler.

On her Twitter account, actress-entrepreneur Jennylyn Mercado reacted to the decision of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to ease social distancing.

Jennylyn jokingly tweeted with netizens about bringing her own ruler. It was so that she can measure the 0.75M minimum requirement for physical distancing.

DOTr submitted new guidelines on reduced social distancing. It was their effort to increase passenger capacity in public transportation to accommodate the public’s request.

DOTr announced that during the weekend that the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) approved their proposal.

The department recommended that the 1-meter physical distancing measure adjusted safely to 0.75 meters by September 14–eventually going down to 0.3 meters after a month.
Jennylyn has been vocal on various issues on her social media account. She brought attentionto issues with safety guidelines, frontliners, and health workers through her funny and clever posts.
