Marian Rivera decides to back out of ‘First Yaya’ to put ‘family first’

Instead of long weeks of taping, a suggested seven-day taping will take place, and a three-day break to get home but she gladly declined the adjusted offer.

Marian Rivera confirmed that she won’t be doing the teleserye First Yaya for now because she can’t handle being locked in on the set and away from her kids for weeks.

Sinabi nila, may lock in, hindi muna uuwi, or parang Descendants na nandun lahat.”
Dingdong Dantes, Marian’s husband, recently wrapped up a 12-day closed-group taping for the award-winning Kapuso drama, Descendants of the Sun, but the actress can’t handle the same set – up.

“Sabi ko, ‘Naku, parang mahirapan yata ako diyan.’ Gustung-gusto kong gawin ang First Yaya.

One of the reasons the actress opted out of the lock-in taping planned for the series is to continue to look after her children Zia and Ziggy, especially with the new normal education setting.

But according to Marian, GMA also tried to adjust to the actress’s needs. Instead of long weeks of taping, a suggested seven-day taping will take place, and a three-day break to get home but she gladly declined the adjusted offer.

She can’t help but be very thankful for GMA’s understanding in such situations like these.

So far, GMA has not said whether Marian will be replaced as the first nanny or that this project will be shelved forever.

But if ever she will be replaced for the role, the actress has no problem with it.

“Walang problema sa akin kung palitan nila ako para mag-move on ang First Yaya. Walang problema.
