Kapuso actress Andrea Torres finally gave her statement regarding her breakup with Derek Ramsay.
On Friday, November 20, the actress issued a short statement on GMANetwork.com where she confirmed that she is no longer together with Derek.
Her confirmation came a day after Derek has admitted their break up on his social media account.
She said that she didn’t want to give any details behind their break up as she wanted to show respect for the relationship that they once had.
“Yes, Derek and I are no longer together. I’d rather keep the details private as I want to give the breakup the same amount of respect that I had for the relationship,” she explained.
She added saying that she will always wish Derek and his family well.
“I think you all know how much it meant to me. I hope you understand. I will always wish him and his family well,” she said.
Previously, Derek admitted his breakup with Andrea by replying to a comment on his Instagram account. He said that people shouldn’t point their fingers at Andrea and noted that there was no third party involved in the breakup.
“Please don’t point the finger at anyone. There is nothing wrong with Andrea. She is a great woman. There is no third party!!!! The breakup has happened so fast,” he said.
The actor also explained that there are just people who are not meant for each other. He asked the people to respect their relationship and not to spread lies to others.
“Maybe 2 people are just not meant to be. Pls respect us nalang. We shared our love to all of you sana naman we can keep this to ourselves. Mahal ko si ada kaya di ako magsasalita pero if I hear lies about her I will defend her,” Derek wrote.
It was in 2019 when Derek admitted that he and Torres were “more than friends”. He was previously in a six-year relationship with Joanne Villablanca which ended in June 2019.
The breakup rumor started after netizens noticed that Derek had deleted all his photos with his Andrea on his Instagram account. Andrea deleted her pictures with Derek on her Instagram as well.
People noticed that both Derek and Andrea had unfollowed each other’s accounts on Instagram.
