Luis Manzano will be the new host of the singing and impersonation show Your Face Sounds Familiar, which is now on its 3rd season.
The announcement was made during ABS-CBN’s Christmas Special. Their campaign “Together as One sa 2021”, aimed to introduce their newest TV series and programs for the next year.
ABS-CBN announced the return of Your Face Sounds Familiar, which was originally hosted by Billy Crawford. However, since the latter already shifted to another network, he will be replaced by Luis Manzano.
When ABS-CBN was not granted a fresh franchise, it was forced to lay off most of its employees and shut down its programs.
Even their talents or artists decided to shift to another network to earn a living.
Billy Crawford was one of them.
Crawford said that he made this decision for the sake of his growing family. To note, his wife Coleen Garcia recently gave birth to their first child.
After Crawford transferred to TV5, he left some of his previous hosting roles, including Your Face Sounds Familiar.
Luis Manzano, someone who is close to him with a similar comedic hosting style, was picked to replace Crawford in hosting the talent show.
This project might be the reward for Luis’s loyalty to ABS-CBN and for staying with the network despite the adversities.
For his part, Luis respects the decision of his former colleagues who moved to another network.
He also congratulated Crawford when he announced his move to TV5 and his newest show with the latter.
“Congrats bro!!! Mamimiss kita… yung mga tawanan natin… naglalaro paa natin sa ilalim ng mesa…. pasulyap sulyap na tingin… nag bubblebath tayo na walang bula… bigote sa batok ko hihihihi mwah,” he commented on Crawford’s post.
Crawford currently hosts the TV5 shows Lunch Out Loud and Masked Singer Pilipinas.
