Kim Chiu and her red ‘outfit of the day’ were the ‘butts of the joke’ on Monday’s (January 25) It’s Showtime! Her co-hosts Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, and Jhong Hilario derided her for wearing a similar color tone with Tawag ng Tanghalan resbak (retaliators) challengers.
Chiu confessed she was not informed on the motif for the competitor’s wardrobes for the Tawag ng Tanghalan segment.
In the segment, she joined the eight ‘resbakers’, who were all dressed in red, and asked her co-hosts with a sarcastic inquiry like ‘happy?’.

Chiu, being Chinese remarked that ‘red’ is best for that day. It is for luck and happiness.
The show’s official twitter account had an artcard bearing Kim Chiu with her full name and her place of origin, same as the cards for the TNT resbakers.
She quickly reacted by saying, “Bakit ako ksali?!!!!!!!”
