Kapamilya star Vice Ganda shared a story of his Garapalang Kaibigan (brazen friend) who made food orders in a restaurant that is more than his prepared budget.
The comedian-host told his story in an episode of It’s Showtime! A short video clip can be accessed on Youtube on Tuesday, February 9.
Vice Ganda explained that he and co-host Ryan Bang was supposed to go out and eat. He didn’t want to be rude to his co-hosts, and out of courtesy, he invited them, too.
“Kasi po kakain kami ni Ryan Bang. Nahiya naman ako kung di ko sila aayain. So, niyaya ko na lang sila pero yung yayang plastic, alam mo yun?”
“Para hindi ka lang bastos. Kase nakakavastos ‘yung alam nilang kakain kayo sa labas, tapos hindi mo isasama ‘yung mga nakarinig,” he added.
The 44-year-old comedian then continued saying that his It’s Showtime co-hosts accepted his invitation. He also thought he’d be the one paying, so he planned to order a set meal to save money.
“Tapos lahat sila sumama.
“Tapos alam ko na na ako magbabayad nito, nararamdaman ko na. So kukuha na lang ako ng set meal para mura,” Vice Ganda explained.
However, Vice Ganda became suspicious as orders arrived on their table, which he thought he did not order, “Maya-maya, may dumarating na alam ko namang hindi ako ang umorder.”
The comedian later figured out that it was Jhong Hilario who made the food orders which were way out of his planned budget.
Vice Ganda admitted that he was able to pay the amount of Php 9,000.00 for the meals of his fellow It’s Showtime co-hosts.
It’s Showtime hosts Vice Ganda, Jhong Hilario, Vhong Navarro, Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpus have been together for over a decade since the show began in 2009, which explained how close they are to each other.
Even though Ryan Bang joined in 2012, Amy Perez in 2016, and Kim Chiu later joined in 2020, the hosts still consider each other as a true family.
